Global music sensation Coldplay has added a fourth India concert to their “Music of the Spheres” world tour, responding to overwhelming demand after tickets for three shows in Mumbai sold out in record time. The newly announced concert will be held at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25, 2025, marking the band’s largest-ever performance in India. Tickets for the Ahmedabad show go on sale on BookMyShow on November 16 at 12 PM IST, giving more fans an opportunity to see the iconic British band live.
Coldplay’s three Mumbai concerts, set for January 18, 19, and 20 at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium, became some of the most coveted events of 2025. When tickets were released, millions of fans flooded the virtual queue, leading to an immediate sell-out and leaving many fans without tickets. Scalpers quickly took advantage of the shortage, with resale prices reaching as high as ₹3.65 lakh on platforms like Viagogo.
In response to the unprecedented demand and to protect genuine concertgoers, the Maharashtra Police’s cyber wing has issued guidelines to ticketing platform BookMyShow, advising stricter measures against scalping. Recommendations include name-based tickets to prevent unauthorized resales and improve security for fans purchasing directly from the official sale.
