
Mumbai, January 21, 2025: Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a new hotel in Surat, Gujarat. Set to operate under the sophisticated Vivanta brand, this Greenfield project reinforces IHCL’s commitment to expanding its footprint in key commercial hubs across India.
Strategically located opposite Surat International Airport, the upcoming 125-key Vivanta Surat will cater to both business and leisure travelers with its signature contemporary design and world-class service. Guests can look forward to enjoying diverse dining experiences, including an all-day dining restaurant and a poolside café, along with facilities such as a high-performance gym and a swimming pool.
Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate and Development at IHCL, expressed excitement about the project, saying, “Surat, often referred to as the economic capital of Gujarat, is one of India's fastest-growing cities. In line with its strategy, this signing strengthens IHCL's presence across key commercial centers in India. We are delighted to collaborate with Mr. Dashrath Desai for this project.”
Mr. Dashrath Desai, a leading real estate developer and owner of the project, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to partner with IHCL to introduce the Vivanta brand to Surat. This partnership will infuse new energy into the city.”
Known as a prominent commercial hub, Surat thrives on its diamond and textile industries, making it an ideal location for IHCL’s upscale Vivanta brand.
With this addition, IHCL now boasts a robust portfolio of 29 hotels in Gujarat, including 10 under development, underscoring its strong presence in the region.
