A Travel Company in USA Offers Americans Four-Year Cruise to "Skip Forward" Trump's Presidency

Just days after Donald Trump’s 2024 election victory, Villa Vie Residences launched an unusual travel offering aimed at Americans looking to get away; perhaps for the entire presidential term. Known as the “Skip Forward” program, this four-year cruise invites travelers to spend the next four years at sea, exploring iconic global destinations while stepping away from U.S. shores.

Long term travel experience

The package, which starts at approximately $40,000 per year, offers a fully immersive, long-term journey where travelers can settle into the rhythm of life at sea. For those committing to the entire experience, the package comes with the $160k for a double-occupancy room or $256k for single-occupancy. This package comes with a promise to let travelers “leave behind the familiar” and discover the world’s most captivating destinations at a relaxed pace.

While Villa Vie hasn’t directly referenced the election in its marketing, CEO Mikael Petterson acknowledged the program’s appeal to those who may have considered relocating after recent political events. “Though we planned this initiative before the results,” he shared, “it happens to be an ideal fit for anyone looking to spend the next few years away.”

Villa Vie’s focus on long-haul travel options isn’t new. The company recently introduced “Endless Horizons,” a package geared toward retirees seeking a stress-free, continuous journey around the world. Head of Sales Anne Alms described the concept as a “slow travel” experience, where guests can engage deeply with each destination, taking the time to connect with local culture rather than just passing through.

Whether inspired by the political climate or a desire for a global adventure, Villa Vie’s “Skip Forward” program seems poised to attract those looking to trade in day-to-day life for four years of exploration and discovery.
