If you thought the Vande Bharat Express was impressive, wait till you get a look at the new Vande Bharat sleeper coach trains. These sleek, high-speed beauties are set to redefine overnight train journeys in India, and their first look has already got us excited!

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently checked out the production of these coaches at the Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) facility in Bengaluru, and from what we can see, they're nothing short of amazing. Imagine zipping across the country at 160 km/h in a train designed for maximum comfort and convenience, covering distances of up to 1,200 km while you sleep soundly in style.

Let's talk about the interiors first. The Vande Bharat sleeper coaches come decked out with Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) panels, giving them a modern, durable finish that feels just as good as it looks. The coaches also feature a modular pantry, ensuring that your late-night snack cravings are well taken care of.
Accessibility? Check. The trains are equipped with special berths and toilets designed for differently-abled passengers, making sure everyone can travel comfortably. Plus, with automatic exterior passenger doors, getting on and off the train will be a breeze.

But that's not all. The coaches also boast some seriously cool features like showers with hot water in the 1st AC coaches; perfect for freshening up on long journeys. There are remotely operated fire barrier doors, sensor-based interiors, odor-free toilets, and even integrated reading lights with USB charging ports. And did we mention the spacious luggage room? No more cramming your bags into tiny overhead spaces!

These trains have taken notes from the pandemic era, too. With enhanced oxygen levels and virus protection measures in place, they're designed to keep passengers safe while they travel. And while these sleeper coaches are packed with premium features, the best part might be the price; fares are expected to be on par with the Rajdhani Express, making this a fantastic option for middle-class travelers.

The Vande Bharat sleeper trains are set to hit the tracks for testing soon, and if all goes well, you could be riding one in just three months. Once the prototypes are tested and approved, production will ramp up, with two to three trains rolling out each month.
So, keep an eye out; overnight travel in India is about to get a whole lot cooler!
