India’s highly anticipated Noida International Airport is officially set to begin commercial passenger operations from 15 June 2026, marking a major milestone for Indian aviation and regional connectivity. IndiGo will operate the inaugural flight from the new airport, according to recent reports.
Located in Jewar near Greater Noida, the airport is expected to become one of North India’s biggest aviation hubs, easing congestion at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport while boosting connectivity across domestic and international routes.
IndiGo, India’s largest airline by market share, has been selected to operate the first commercial flight from Noida International Airport. The launch is expected to significantly improve travel access for passengers across Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and nearby regions.
The airport has already completed major regulatory and operational clearances, including navigation testing and aerodrome licensing by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Initially, the airport will begin with limited domestic services before gradually expanding international flight operations.
