Planning a holiday to Saudi Arabia is about to become much simpler. The Kingdom has introduced a new Package Visa, a digital initiative that combines tourist visa processing, flight bookings, hotel reservations, and travel experiences into a single booking process. The move is designed to make international travel more convenient while supporting Saudi Arabia's rapidly growing tourism sector.
The new system is currently being rolled out through authorised travel and tourism service providers in selected international markets, including India, with plans for wider global expansion in the future.
Unlike the traditional process, where travellers separately apply for a visa, book flights, reserve hotels, and arrange activities, the Package Visa brings everything together into one seamless digital experience.
Travellers booking through approved travel partners can complete their entire trip planning in a single transaction, reducing paperwork and saving time.

Depending on the travel provider, the package may include:
Tourist e-Visa processing
Round-trip flights
Hotel accommodation at licensed properties
Mandatory travel or health insurance
Sightseeing tours and local experiences
Entry tickets to selected attractions
Customer support throughout the trip
This integrated system allows visitors to focus on planning their holiday rather than managing multiple bookings separately.
The pilot programme has been launched for travellers in selected countries, including:
India
Pakistan
Bangladesh
Indonesia
Egypt
Jordan
Mexico
Bookings must be made through authorised travel companies participating in the programme. Saudi Arabia is expected to gradually expand eligibility to more countries as the initiative develops.
The application process is entirely digital.
Here's how it works:
Choose an authorised travel provider.
Select a holiday package that suits your travel dates.
Upload the required passport and personal details.
The provider processes your tourist visa while confirming flights and accommodation.
Receive your visa and travel documents before departure.
Instead of dealing with multiple platforms, travellers complete everything through one booking system.
The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the country's economy beyond oil by strengthening tourism.
In recent years, Saudi Arabia has introduced several traveller-friendly initiatives, including:
Tourist e-Visas
Visa on Arrival
Stopover Transit Visa
Digital tourism services
The new Package Visa is another step toward making Saudi Arabia one of the world's most accessible travel destinations. The country welcomed more than 29 million international visitors in 2025, reflecting strong growth in its tourism sector.
No.
Travellers who prefer to arrange their own flights and accommodation can continue using Saudi Arabia's existing tourist visa options. The Package Visa is simply an additional, more convenient option for visitors who want everything organised through one booking.
India is among the first countries included in the pilot rollout, making the initiative especially beneficial for Indian tourists.
With Saudi Arabia gaining popularity for destinations such as Riyadh, Jeddah, AlUla, and the Red Sea coast, the Package Visa could encourage more Indians to explore the Kingdom by offering a faster and simpler travel planning experience.
Saudi Arabia's new Package Visa represents a major step towards hassle-free international travel. By combining visa applications, flights, hotels, and tourism experiences into one digital booking, the initiative removes much of the complexity traditionally associated with planning an overseas holiday.
Although the programme is currently in its pilot phase, its expansion could make Saudi Arabia an even more attractive destination for travellers seeking convenience, cultural experiences, and modern tourism infrastructure.
