Sabre Corporation, a leading global technology provider in the travel industry, has announced a strategic partnership with Thailand’s popular low-cost carrier, Nok Air. This collaboration will integrate Nok Air’s extensive route network and services into Sabre’s Global Distribution System (GDS), opening up new opportunities for Indian travelers, travel agents, and corporate clients to access affordable and seamless travel options to Thailand and beyond.
This partnership marks a significant milestone as it is the first time Nok Air’s content will be available through a GDS. By leveraging Sabre’s vast travel marketplace, Nok Air aims to expand its reach to a global audience, including the growing Indian travel market. Indian travelers will now have easier access to Nok Air’s domestic and regional flights, as well as its unique fly-n-ferry service, which offers seamless connectivity to Thailand’s picturesque islands that lack direct air access.

Nok Air, founded in 2004, has established itself as one of Thailand’s leading low-cost airlines, with a robust network covering key domestic and regional destinations. The airline’s inclusion in Sabre’s GDS means Indian travel agents and customers can now compare, book, and manage Nok Air’s flights alongside other travel options, including traditional EDIFACT offerings and New Distribution Capability (NDC) content. This integration provides Indian travelers with more flexibility and convenience when planning their trips to Thailand, a top destination for leisure and business travel.
The partnership is set to benefit Indian travel agents by enabling them to create more attractive and competitive travel packages for their customers. With Nok Air’s budget-friendly fares and extensive route network now accessible through Sabre’s multi-source content platform, agents can cater to a wider range of traveler preferences, from leisure tourists to corporate clients. This collaboration is expected to drive increased bookings and revenue for both travel agents and the airline.
Wutthiphum Jurangkool, Chief Executive Officer of Nok Air, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to bring Nok Air’s extensive route network and service offerings to a wider audience through Sabre. By making our content available via Sabre’s GDS, we’re broadening our global reach and ensuring both leisure and corporate travelers have more ways to discover and book our flights.”
Brett Thorstad, Vice President, Agency Sales and Airline Distribution, Asia Pacific, Sabre, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, saying, “This is the first time that Nok Air has offered its content through a GDS, which is a testament to the value Sabre’s global marketplace brings for our airline and agency partners. By adding Nok Air to our growing portfolio of budget carrier content, we’re expanding the range of options available through Sabre’s multi-source content platform and enabling the airline to connect with new audiences through our global travel marketplace.”
