Azerbaijan is located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. Geographically, it is part of the South Caucasus region, which borders Russia to the north, Turkey to the west, and Iran to the south. The country is often associated with Europe due to its cultural, political, and economic ties with European nations. However, technically it lies in Asia.
Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, is often referred to as a modern European city due to its blend of contemporary infrastructure and European influences. Despite this, Azerbaijan's rich history and location make it a fascinating mix of both European and Asian cultures.

Indian passport holders do need a travel visa to enter Azerbaijan. Luckily, obtaining a visa has been made easier through an e-Visa system, which allows travelers to apply online for a tourist visa.
Visit the official e-Visa portal. (https://evisa.gov.az/en/)
Fill in the online application form with your personal details and travel information.
Submit required documents, including a copy of your passport, a recent photograph, and payment for the visa fee.
Wait for approval. The processing time usually takes about 3 business days, and you will receive your e-Visa in your inbox.
Print your e-Visa and carry it with you when traveling to Azerbaijan.
And that’s it! The e-Visa is valid for a stay of up to 30 days and allows you to enter the country for tourism, business, or transit purposes. Be sure to apply for your visa in advance to avoid any last-minute hassle. It is important to note that Indian tourists do not have access to a Visa on Arrival service in Azerbaijan.
