Good news for travellers! Flights to and from Bali, Indonesia have resumed after being disrupted earlier this week by the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki in East Nusa Tenggara province. The volcano, which spewed ash up to 11km into the sky on 17 June 2025, forced the cancellation or delay of 87 flights - including popular international routes from Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India via connecting flights through Malaysia and Singapore.

As of Thursday morning, operations at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport are back to normal. Major airlines like Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Virgin Australia, JetStar, Qantas, and AirAsia have resumed full services. While most airports have reopened, Fransiskus Xaverius Seda Airport in Maumere remains closed until further notice.
