Azerbaijan is located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. Geographically, it is part of the South Caucasus region, which borders Russia to the north, Turkey to the west, and Iran to the south. The country is often associated with Europe due to its cultural, political, and economic ties with European nations. However, technically it lies in Asia.
Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, is often referred to as a modern European city due to its blend of contemporary infrastructure and European influences. Despite this, Azerbaijan's rich history and location make it a fascinating mix of both European and Asian cultures.
