A clash erupted on microblogging platform X between a user named Kapil and the Railway Ministry regarding a viral video depicting an overcrowded 2nd AC sleeper coach, purportedly filled with ticketless travelers. Kapil criticized the situation, claiming the incident had marred one of India's premier coach standards, with only First AC remaining untouched.
He shared a video of the packed Kashi Express on April 14, highlighting passengers obstructing pathways and standing at entry and exit points. Kapil tagged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, urging intervention due to inadequate AC functionality caused by open doors.

Responding, the Ministry shared a current video on Saturday, revealing no overcrowding, and cautioned against sharing misleading content that could tarnish Indian Railways' reputation. Kapil countered, stating the Ministry's attempt to discredit an incident from April 14 using a present video wouldn't deter people from exposing subpar railway services.
On Friday, the Railway Ministry announced a 43% increase in summer train trips compared to last year. This initiative aims to accommodate a higher number of passengers, ensuring they can reach their destinations comfortably.
